Trump Organization Attempted to Bring In Nearly 200 Employees on Work Permits in 2025

Donald Trump’s family business accelerated its hiring of overseas employees on temporary visas this period, while his government was creating barriers for other companies attempting to do the identical, an analysis released Thursday claimed.

Based on information from the US Department of Labor, the Trump Organization sought to bring in at least 184 foreign workers in 2025 for short-term roles at the US president’s Florida property, two golf clubs and his winery in Virginia.

The number of requests for temporary work visas for staff including servers, clerks, cleaning staff, kitchen staff and agricultural laborers was the record filed by the organization, and increased from 121 in the previous term, when his presidency concluded.

It was also the fifth time in 10 years that Trump had attempted to bring in more than 100 foreign employees for seasonal jobs at his Florida resort, based on labor statistics.

The disclosure comes amid a tightening on immigration laws by his administration that has involved the implementation of a $100,000 fee on H1-B visas; extra scrutiny of the actions of the millions of people who already hold American work permits; and tighter regulations for foreign students and reporters.

In total, the business sought to hire over 560 overseas workers over the period Trump has been in the White House, from his first term and during the upcoming year.

Notably, Trump was criticized by some in the GOP this week for remarks justifying the need for foreign workers when a company was unable to find people with “specific talents” to fill certain positions.

“You can’t just say a country is entering, going to invest billions to build a facility, and going to recruit individuals off an unemployment line who haven’t worked in five years, and they’re going to start producing their defense systems. It isn’t feasible that effectively,” he stated to a host after she suggested that overseas employees lower the pay of American employees.

The administration refused a request for comment, and the business did not provide an answer to an request for information.
