Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones

Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward apologised to the entire Liverpool squad after the uproar from his public comments.

The Incident

Salah was left out from a key Champions League match after criticising the club and stating his relationship with manager had soured.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”

Arne Slot has previously declined to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the team's response stayed normal. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.

He also implied that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.

“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a good place,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and on a positive run.”
